Year 2 have settled in very well since coming back to school. During our first week, we had a surprise visit from Paddington Bear and also received a letter. We decided that we would welcome him to Northwick by setting up our own Teddy's bear picnic. The Year 2 children brought their own teddies in and enjoyed eating jam and marmalade sandwiches, that they had made themselves. 

In Art we have been busy practising a range of techniques. We made a London landmark collage by using tissue paper, chalks and pastels. We also learned about a famous artist called Banksy. We sprayed paint to create our own version of 'The Girl With Balloon'. 

The children took part in their first Forest School sessions of the year. They enjoyed making their own dens, bug hunting, digging and of course roasting marshmallows!
