Autumn Term

Shakespeare Day

“To be or not to be? That is the question.”

On Monday 1st December, Year 4 had a majestic day taking part in Shakespeare-related activities!

We started our day by creating dioramas of a scene from Macbeth or A Midsummer’s Night Dream. The children were incredibly creative and used numerous materials and their imagination to produce fantastic pieces of work.

After, we designed and decorated our own masks by colouring and carefully embellished them with decorations and colour to resemble the masks that actors wear.

Later, we made our very own “quills” and used them to write our favourite Shakespearean quotes from his work.

We had a brilliant day celebrating Shakespeare’s work and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about him.
