You may have heard in the news recently about the Reception Baseline Assessment (RBA). The RBA is a short, interactive, practical assessment carried out by their class teacher in the first six weeks of the children starting school.
The children will work one-to-one with their teacher on a series of short tasks, not dissimilar to those we would do on a daily basis so will be something that they are familiar with and will not cause any upset to them.
I have attached to this email some further information regarding the Reception Baseline Assessment from the Department for Education, but please if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact your child's class teacher.
Thank you for your continued support
