Sport Premium and PE Funding Statement 2015-2016
Northwick Park Primary and Nursery Academy PE Premium Report 2015 -2016
From September, the Government allocated funding to all primary schools to improve the quality and breadth of PE and sports provision. In 2015/16 Northwick Park was allocated £10,120. Schools are entitled to spend their Pupil Sports Premium in any way they think will best improve the provision of physical education (PE) and sport in their school.
At Northwick Park, we endeavour to provide every pupil with access to the very highest standards of PE. We have a clear philosophy that we want to provide children with sporting activities that they would not otherwise have access to. The school’s extensive range of sporting opportunities within and outside the school day enhance children’s development.
As part of the monitoring of the Pupil Sport Premium allocation, we endeavour to ensure that the coaching and teaching will have an impact on promoting a healthy lifestyle. Our ultimate goal is to maximise the participation in sport of all children and ensure that every child benefits from having access to and enjoying a variety of sports. We currently hold the Sainsbury’s school games Gold kitemark.
