Year 1 Green Maths Homework

Year 1 Green set maths homework   Autumn term

Please help your child to learn these key maths facts and practise these key skills. Show any evidence of practise in this folder. If you are excited to show your teacher your hard work please bring it in, we would love to see it! We will assess these skills in lessons and update the maths homework accordingly every half term.

Read and write numbers to 100. Can you go higher?

Partition a number into tens and ones. E.g. 23 = 20 + 3.

Add and subtract numbers.

Count in steps of 2, 5 and 10. E.g. 2, 4, 6, 8, 10… Can you write them as a times table? E.g. 1x2 = 2, 2x2 = 4, etc.

Practise number bonds to 5, 10 and 20. E.g. 2 + 3 = 5/ 5 + 5 = 10.

Recognise and draw 2D shapes. Can you recognise any 3D shapes?

These are some of the  skills we will working on in class throughout this half term.

Sheets are available in the classroom if you would prefer to work through these. If you have Internet access some good websites are:

www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/ks1/maths/

If you play a game online write down the game you have played. I look forward to seeing what your child has achieved at home.

Remember, your Spelling Shed login also gives you access to Maths Shed where you can practise your number bonds and times tables.

Thank you
