Year 1 Yellow Maths Homework

Year 1 Yellow set maths homework  - Autumn term.

Please help your child to learn these key maths facts and practise these key skills. Show any evidence of practise in this folder. If you are excited to show your teacher your hard work please bring it in, I would love to see it! I will assess these skills in lessons and update the maths homework accordingly every half term.

Recognise and order numbers to 20- Can you go further?

Count forwards and backwards to 20 – Can you go further? – Could practise this by counting cars on the way to school, counting their toys etc.

Making amounts- Can you make amounts using objects such as marbles, sweets etc?

Count one more and one less – using toys, marbles etc.

Compare groups of objects – greater than, less than and equal to (Numbers to 20).

These are some of the  skills we will working on in class throughout this half term.

Sheets are available in the classroom if you would prefer to work through these. If you have Internet access some good websites are:

If you play a game online write down the game you have played and place it in the folder. I look forward to seeing what your child has achieved at home. Remember, your Spelling Shed log in also gives you access to Maths Shed where you can practise your number bonds to ten.

Thank you
